Lovech is the capital of the Province of Lovech. Its flag is purple, and bears the so called coat of arms in gold. The emblem was designed by Tosho Mihaylov and was adopted during the communist regime. The colour of the flag was chosen because the nickname of Lovech is The Town of Lilacs.

Orphan Girls Care Center
Orphan girls care center “Paraskeva Neikova” gives shelter to girls who has no parents to take care about them.
Currently there are 44 girls in the center.They are between 14 and 19 years old.
