Lovech is the capital of the Province of Lovech. Its flag is purple, and bears the so called coat of arms in gold. The emblem was designed by Tosho Mihaylov and was adopted during the communist regime. The colour of the flag was chosen because the nickname of Lovech is The Town of Lilacs.

Secondary Scool “St. Kliment Ohridski”

SchoolThe oldest school in the town of Lovech - “St. Kliment Ohridski” - was founded in 1893 under the name “Knjaz Boris Tarnovski”. This two-storey building is located downtown, and boasts its 112-year-old traditions in the educational process.
Our school offers its students well-equipped biology, physics and chemistry labs. NikiIt also has a modern music hall and a sport gym. Within the premises there is a big playground offering the kids a football field, a basketball court, and a garden with benches for the girls and boys to hang out during the breaks.
Both students and teachers are responsible for the school’s decoration and maintaining it clean.
A student committee, with representatives from all ages and classes, has been created to deal with students` issues and problems.
